Your halo blinded me once,
but it only blinded me
to the horns that sat beneath.
Slowly your angel wings fell away,
revealing the serpant
you truly are.

Our days of love
were all a lie.
You wove your guilded words
through my wanting ears.
Yes, you knew just how to get to me....
Just like every other man
who came before me.

Oh, so cleverly you trained me
to think you faultless.
But I see now
that the pedistal I placed you on
was made from the thousand hearts
you smashed.

On the contrary, I really like the last line. There may be a better way to rephrase it, but I like the general concept of it. It's really good and really unique. This is a really moving piece. I'm glad you're back, Milo. I missed your poetry.

I agree, the last line does have a great concept and so does the rest of this. I actually think that the last part is my favorite

When things happen to people, they radiate a light. Because they have a picture caught inside them. Because they were there and you weren't. And because you only got a piece. And because all you can do is shrink and blow up that one tiny piece.
:iconshadowofthesun89:
really? thanks. i guess i'll just leave it, then, lol.

I agree, I like the last line. Heck, I like the whole thing.
