Your halo blinded me once,
but it only blinded me
to the horns that sat beneath.
Slowly your angel wings fell away,
revealing the serpant
you truly are.
Our days of love
were all a lie.
You wove your guilded words
through my wanting ears.
Yes, you knew just how to get to me....
Just like every other man
who came before me.
Oh, so cleverly you trained me
to think you faultless.
But I see now
that the pedistal I placed you on
was made from the thousand hearts
you smashed.

When things happen to people, they radiate a light. Because they have a picture caught inside them. Because they were there and you weren't. And because you only got a piece. And because all you can do is shrink and blow up that one tiny piece.

give a man a mask. then and only then will he tell you who he truly is.
